3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Effects of overexposure: No significant effects expected. Ingestion in large quantities may
cause nausea, sickness and diarrhoea.
Special hazards of product after use: The risk of skin disorders may be increased if product becomes
contaminated.


4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye contact: Hold eyes open under running clean water for at least 15 minutes
until any irritation subsides. If irritation persists, obtain medical
attention.
Skin contact: Remove any contaminated clothing including shoes. Wash contact
areas with soap and water at intervals dictated by good standards of
industrial hygiene.
Inhalation: Not expected to be a problem. Remove to fresh air. If effects persist,
seek prompt medical attention.
Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Wash mouth out with water. Give 1 to
2 glasses of milk or water and obtain immediate medical attention
showing this sheet.
Pressure injection: ALWAYS OBTAIN IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION EVEN
THOUGH THE INJURY MAY APPEAR MINOR.
Note to physicians: Treat symptoms with reference to specific health effects identified
above and outlined in Section 11.


5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

Flammability: Not classified as flammable, but is inherently combustible.
Extinguishing media: Use foam; dry chemical powder or CO2. Never use water.
Special fire fighting procedures: Water may cause boilover danger. Foam may cause frothing.
Only use water to cool outsides of fire-exposed containers.
Prevent run-off from entering drains, sewers, waterways etc.
Special protective equipment: For fires in enclosed areas, firefighters must wear self-contained
breathing apparatus and eye protection.
Unusual fire and explosion hazards: None.

Products of combustion: Oxides of carbon, water vapour, unidentified organic compounds
and dense irritating smoke.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Notification procedures: Report spills as required to appropriate authorities such as the local
Environmental Health Officer or Fire Brigade. If spills are likely to
enter any drain, waterway or groundwater, contact the Area Water
Authority. In case of accident or road spill, contact the Police and
Fire Brigade, and if appropriate the Area Water Authority.
Environmental precautions: Prevent spills from entering sewers, drains etc and contact with soil
areas.
Decontamination procedures: Contain spill and absorb in earth, sand or other suitable inert
absorbent material. Collect solids into a suitably labelled sealable
container for disposal. Dispose of at an appropriate licensed waste
disposal site in accordance with current applicable laws and
regulations and product characteristics at time of disposal.
Personal precautions: Good standards of industrial and personal hygiene are recommended.
See Section 8.


7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Provide suitable mechanical equipment for handling drums and
packaging. No special precautions are necessary beyond normal
good hygiene practices. See Section 8 for additional personal
protection advice when handling this product.
Storage: Do not store in open or in unlabelled containers. Store undercover
away from ignition sources, strong oxidising agents or flammable
materials. Keep away from food and drink. Compatible with most
common metals of construction; may soften certain rubbers - use
resistant seals. A bunded storage area may be required.
Storage temperature: -10掳C to 60掳C

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Materials to avoid: Incompatible with strong oxidising agents.

compounds with dense irritating smoke, when involved in a fire.

11 TOXICOLOGICAL IN FORMATION
The following toxicological assessment is based on knowledge of the product鈥檚 components.
ACUTE TOXICOLOGY
Estimated oral LD50 (rat): > 2000 mg/kg
HEALTH EFFECTS
On eyes: Practically non-irritating. May cause temporary irritation and
discomfort.
On skin: Generally non-irritant on incidental contact. Excessive or prolonged
skin contact may give rise to slight irritation. HIGH PRESSURE
INJECTION INJURIES REQUIRE IMMEDIATE MEDICAL
ATTENTION.
By inhalation: Harmful concentrations of mists and/or vapours do not normally arise
except where high temperatures or atomising systems are involved.
High concentrations of mist may give rise to respiratory irritation.
By ingestion: Practically non-toxic. Ingestion of large quantities may cause
nausea, sickness and diarrhoea.
CHRONIC TOXICOLOGY
SUMMARY: No hazard anticipated, since the base oils used in this product are
severely solvent refined. No data is available to indicate the product or
components present at greater than 1% are chronic health hazards.

OTHER: Products, which have become contaminated, might present more
serious health effects.



12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Not readily biodegradable but inherently biodegradable.

Leaching and penetration through surface soils is generally regarded as resulting in long term persistence.

The product is suitable for burning in an enclosed, controlled burner for fuel value or disposal by supervised
incineration. The local authority may limit such burning. In addition, the product is suitable for processing by
an approved recycling facility or can be disposed of at any licensed waste disposal site or can be removed by
approved waste contractors. Use of these methods is subject to user compliance with applicable laws and
regulations and consideration of product characteristics at time of disposal.
