* * * Section 5 - Fire Fighting Measures * * *
General Fire Hazards
See Section 9 for Flammability Properties.
Combustible liquid. Irritating fumes and gases may be released upon thermal processing or during combustion.
May form explosive mixture with air at temperatures at or above the flashpoint. Empty containers may retain
product residue including Flammable or Explosive vapors. Do not cut, drill, grind, or weld near full, partially full, or
empty product containers.
Hazardous Combustion Products
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Extinguishing Media
Dry chemical, carbon dioxide. alcohol-resistant foam, or water spray. Water and foam may cause frothing if liquid
is burning. Do not direct a solid stream of water or foam into hot, burning pools; this may result in frothing and
increase fire intensity.
Fire Fighting Equipment/Instructions
Firefighters should wear full-face, self contained breathing apparatus and impervious protective clothing.
Firefighters should avoid inhaling any combustion products.

NFPA Ratings: Health: 2 Fire: 2 Reactivity: 0
Hazard Scale: 0 = Minimal 1 = Slight 2 = Moderate 3 = Serious 4 = Severe
* * * Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures * * *
Containment Procedures
Eliminate all sources of ignition or flammables that may come into contact with a spill of this material. Stop the
flow of material, if this is without risk. Contain the discharged material. Block any potential routes to water
systems.
Clean-Up Procedures
Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up. Evacuate the area promptly. Ventilate the
contaminated area. Do not allow the spilled product to enter public drainage system or open water courses. Use
non-sparking tools when opening or closing containers. Eliminate ignition sources including sources of electrical,
static or frictional sparks. Put material in suitable, covered, labeled containers. Dispose of waste material
according to Local, State, Federal, and Provincial Environmental Regulations.
Evacuation Procedures
Persons not wearing appropriate protective equipment should be excluded from area of spill until clean-up has
been completed.
Special Procedures
Avoid inhalation of vapors or mists. Avoid skin contact with the spilled material. Wear appropriate personal
protective equipment.
* * * Section 7 - Handling and Storage * * *
Handling Procedures
Avoid getting this material into contact with your skin and eyes. Do not breathe fumes from this material. Wash
thoroughly after handling. Use this product with adequate ventilation. Keep this product from heat, sparks, or open
flame. Empty containers retain product residue (liquid and/or vapor) and can be dangerous.
Storage Procedures
Keep this material in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep the container tightly closed. Eliminate all sources of
ignition. Do not store around flammable or combustible materials.
