SECTION IV - FIRE AND EXPLOSION DATA
FLASHPOINT: .............................Not combustible - aqueous.
LOWER EXPLOSIVE LIMIT:...Non-flammable
UPPER EXPLOSIVE LIMIT:.....Non-flammable
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:.......The use of water fog or spray, foam, dry powder, or carbon dioxide (CO2) is recommended.
Although the product is a non-flammable, aqueous solution, it is recommended that the product
not be allowed to totally dry. It is possible that the product will burn under these conditions of
lack of solvent.
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES:..........As a minimum, use self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full protective
clothing. Do not allow product to totally evaporate to dryness. Product may support
combustion if allowed to totally evaporate. Fight fire as appropriate for surrounding area.
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: .........................No special hazards. This product is not anticipated to support
combustion.
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: ............Oxides of carbon and other possible toxic solids and gasses.
SECTION V - REACTIVITY & STABILITY INFORMATION
STABILITY:..................................Stable
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: .........................May occur
INCOMPATIBILITY:..................Avoid strong oxidizers, strong acids and strong bases.
CONDITIONS TO AVOID:.........Avoid elevated temperatures and evaporation to dryness. Avoid contact with strong acids, and
bases.
SECTION VI - HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
MEDICAL CONDITION AGGRAVATED:................A review of the available toxicological information, and physical and
chemical properties of the mixture, suggests that potential overexposure, during the proper
application of the product, is unlikely to aggravate existing medical conditions.
INHALATION: .............................Vapors or mists in excess of the listed concentrations, or in unusually high concentrations
formed during usage, may cause irritation of the eyes or respiratory tract. Heating the material
and poor ventilation during use may also cause the above listed irritation.
INGESTION:.................................Extremely low toxicity if swallowed. Trace amounts swallowed incidental to normal handling
operations are not anticipated to cause injury.
EYES: .............................................Liquid contact may cause slight, temporary discomfort of the eye, with minimal irritation and
possible slight swelling.
SKIN:..............................................Brief contact should not be irritating. Prolonged contact, from clothing wetted with the
product, may cause a mild irritation, shown as a localized redness or discomfort.

SECTION VII - FIRST AID MEASURES
INHALATION: .............................Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen or artificial respiration. Get
immediate medical attention.
INGESTION:..........................If swallowed, available information does not show evidence of harmful effects. If difficulties
arise, do NOT induce vomiting. If a large volume of the product is involved and the victim is
totally alert, give a glass of water. If vomiting does occur, keep head below the hips to prevent
aspiration into the lungs. Get medical attention immediately.
EYES: .............................................Thoroughly flush the eyes with large volumes of clean, low pressure water for at least 15
minutes while holding eyelids open. If wearing contacts, remove them after initial flushing
and then continue flushing. If any irritation or difficulty persists, get immediate medical
attention.
SKIN:..............................................Immediately wash skin with mild soap and large volumes of water. Remove contaminated
clothing, washing clothing before reuse. Get medical attention if irritation, swelling, pain, or
blistering occurs.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS: ................................Aspiration of this product into the lungs, during emesis, could result in
lung damage. If stomach evacuation is deemed necessary, take appropriate precautions to
avoid inhalation into the lungs.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: ..............Toxicological studies have shown similar materials to have a low acute toxicity. There is no
specific antidote, treat for control of symptoms.
SECTION VIII - PERSONAL PROTECTION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:.............None required if airborne concentrations are maintained below the listed exposure
limits. If engineering controls do not maintain airborne concentrations below the listed limits, a
respiratory protection program (whether respirator or SCBA) which meets the appropriate
OSHA and / or NIOSH requirements should be initiated and followed.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: ......The use of non-absorbent gloves, apron, and safety glasses with side shields, or chemical
goggles, is recommended.
VENTILATION: ...........................Local exhaust ventilation adequate to maintain airborne concentrations below listed limits is
recommended. If adequate ventilation is not available, use a respiratory protection program as
described previously.
ADDITIONAL MEASURES: ......Standard procedures associated with safety and good management practices
SECTION IX ?ACCIDENTAL RELEASE AND DISPOSAL DATA
SPILL:............................................Wear personal protective equipment appropriate to the conditions. Contain spills with an inert
absorbent, and place in suitable containers. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from
the contaminated area until the spill is cleaned up.
WASTE DISPOSAL: ....................Dispose of contained waste in compliance with all appropriate federal, state, and local
regulations. It is the responsibility of the generator to characterize the properties of the
material generated, and to determine the proper waste classification and disposal methods in
compliance with all applicable regulations.
