4. First-aid measures
General advice:
Remove contaminated clothing. Remove affected person from danger area. First aid personnel
should pay attention to their own safety. Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth if the
victim is unconscious or having convulsions. If the patient is likely to become unconscious, place and
transport in stable sideways position (recovery position). Show container, label and/or safety data
sheet to physician.
If inhaled:
Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air.
On skin contact:
Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
On contact with eyes:
Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open.
On ingestion:
Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water.
Note to physician:
Treatment: Treat according to symptoms (decontamination, vital functions), no known specific
antidote.
Unsuitable extinguishing media for safety reasons:
water
Special protective equipment:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information:
Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire. Collect contaminated extinguishing
water separately, do not allow to reach sewage or effluent systems. Dispose of fire debris and
contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations.
6. Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Use personal protective clothing.
Environmental precautions:
Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.

Methods for cleaning up or taking up:
For large amounts: Dike spillage. Vacuum up spilled product.
For residues: Contain with absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, general purpose
binder, sawdust). Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with regulations.
7. Handling and storage
Handling
No special measures necessary if stored and handled correctly.
Protection against fire and explosion:
Prevent electrostatic charge - sources of ignition should be kept well clear - fire extinguishers should
be kept handy.
Storage
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed and dry; store in a cool
place.
8. Exposure controls and personal protection
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection:
Wear respiratory protection if ventilation is inadequate. Gas filter EN141 Type A for gases/vapours of
organic compounds (boiling point >65 癈).
Hand protection:
Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374)
Suitable materials short-term contact and/or splashes (recommended: At least protective index 2,
corresponding > 30 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374)
butyl rubber (butyl) - 0.7 mm coating thickness
nitrile rubber (NBR) - 0.4 mm coating thickness
Supplementary note: The specifications are based on own tests, literature data and information of
glove manufacturers or are derived from similar substances by analogy. Due to many conditions
(e.g. temperature) it must be considered, that the practical usage of a chemical-protective glove in
practice may be much shorter than the permeation time determined in accordance with EN 374.
Eye protection:
Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles) (EN 166)
Body protection:
Body protection must be chosen depending on activity and possible exposure, e.g. apron, protecting
boots, chemical-protection suit (according to DIN-EN 465).

General safety and hygiene measures:
Wearing of closed work clothing is recommended. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing.
Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. No eating, drinking, smoking or tobacco use
at the place of work. Store work clothing separately.
10. Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition: > 200 癈
