Eye: Direct eye contact may cause mild irritation due to the mechanical
action of the powder.
Skin: The dermal LD5O has not been determined for this product. However
dermal toxicity is believed to be very low based on the products
composition. For chlorfluazuron, the LD5O for skin absorption in rabbits
is >2000mg/kg.
Inhalation: Avoid breathing dust. May cause coughing due to the mechanical action
of the powder.
Chronic: No studies exist on the product. No particular abnormalities were
observed in reproduction tests on rats, and teratogenicity was not
observed in tests on rats and mice using pure chlorfluazuron. The
results of all mutagenic tests for reverse mutation, aberrant
chromosomes and DNA repair were negative. In general
pharmacological tests, the effects of large doses of chlorfluazuron on
the central nervous system, respiration, blood pressure and
electrocardiograms were studied, but no abnormalities were observed.
Chlorfluazuron is a very low toxic insecticide.
