EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Dry chemical, carbon dioxide, water, or regular foam.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Use water spray to control ammonia vapors. Wear full protective clothing and use a
positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
SPILL AND LEAK RESPONSE: In case of sp8ill or release, avoid vapors and ignition sources. Use appropriate protective devices and
absorbents. Stop and contain the discharge if it can be done safely. Handle with trained personnel only, Notify authorities a required by law.

7. HANDLING and STORAGE
HANDLING PRACTICES: Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.

below acceptable limits, appropriate respiratory protection should be used.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: If use conditions generate vapors or mists, wear a NIOSH approved respirator appropriate for those
emission levels.
EYE PROTECTION: Wear splash resistant safety goggles with a faceshield. It is generally recognized that contact lenses should not be
worn when working with chemicals because contact lenses may contribute to the severity of an eye injury.
HAND PROTECTION: Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves

TOXICITY DATA:

EDTA: NE*
NH4Cl: orl-rat LD50:1650 mg/kg Safety Profile: Poison by subcutaneous, intravenous, and intramuscular routes. Moderately toxic by other
routes. A severe eye irritant. Mutation data reported. Explosive reaction with potassium chlorate or bromine trifluoride. Violent reaction
(ignition) with bromine pentafluoride, NH4NO3 (175 dec C), and IF7 Reaction with hydrogen cyanide may give the explosive nitrogen
trichloride. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of NOx, Cl-, and NH3.

(NH4)2SO4: orl-rat LD50:3000 mg/kg Safety Profile: Moderately toxic by several routes. Human systemic effects by ingestion: hypermotility,
diarrhea, nausea or vomiting. See also SULFATES. Incandescent reaction on heating with potassium chlorate. Reaction with sodium
hypochlorite gives the unstable explosive nitrogen trichloride. Incompatible with (K + NH4NO3), KNO2, (NaK + NH4NO3). When heated to
decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of NOx, NH3, and SOx.
