Decanoic Acid: ORAL (LD50): Acute: 3730 mg/kg [Rat]. 10000 mg/kg [Rat]. DERMAL
(LD50): Acute: 1770 mg/kg [Rabbit]. The pure chemical (100%) is hazardous in case of skin
contact (irritant, sensitizer), of eye contact (irritant), of ingestion, of inhalation (lung irritant).
First Aid
Exposure to 100% chemical - after contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water.
Gently and thoroughly wash the contaminated skin with running water and non-abrasive soap.
Be particularly careful to clean folds, crevices, creases and groin. Cover the irritated skin with an
emollient. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing before
reusing.
