EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE:
Eye: Causes chemical burns. May cause blindness.
Skin: Causes chemical burns. May be absorbed through the skin.
Inhalation: May cause respiratory tract irritation.
Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Causes chemical burns to mouth, throat and stomach.

EFFECTS OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE:
Skin: Prolonged or repeated exposure to dilutions can cause drying, defatting and dermatitis. 2-Butoxy ethanol may be
absorbed through the skin in toxic amounts if contact is repeated and prolonged; may cause blood damage based on
published data; these effects have not been observed in humans.
Irritancy: Hazardous by WHMIS criteria.
Respiratory Tract Sensitization: No data available.

Skin: Immediately flush with cool water for 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Discard or
wash well before reuse. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.
Inhalation: If symptoms develop, move victim to fresh air. If symptoms persist, obtain medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water then drink one or two glasses of water. Obtain medical
attention. Never give anything by mouth if victim is unconscious, or is convulsing.
