V HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Symptoms of Overexposure:
Inhalation: Weakness, dizziness, headache, Vomiting, unconsciousness and death.
Ingestion: May cause death or permanent injury from small quantities. (If detected early, vomiting or unconsciousness).
Skin: 鈥淐yanide rash鈥? - itching, macular, papular and vesicular eruptions. There are often secondary infections. Material may be
absorbed through skin - symptoms are the same as for inhalation.
Eye: 鈥淐yanide rash鈥? - itching, macular, papular and vesicular eruptions. There are often secondary infections.
Effects of Exposure:
Acute: Inhalation: May cause death or permanent injury after very short exposure to small quantities.
Ingestion: May cause death or permanent injury after very short exposure to small quantities.
Skin: Irritant that causes readily reversible changes which disappear after end of exposure.
Eye: Irritant that causes readily reversible changes which disappear after end of exposure.
Chronic:
Inhalation: Can cause readily reversible changes which disappear after end of exposure.
Ingestion: Can cause readily reversible changes which disappear after end of exposure.
Skin: Irritant that may cause both reversible and irreversible changes; but not severe enough to cause death or permanent injury.
Eye: Irritant that may cause both reversible and irreversible changes; but not severe enough to cause death or permanent injury.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
INHALATION: Treat 5 times at 15 second intervals with amyl nitrite broken in cloth. Artificial respiration if necessary. Call
physician.
INGESTION: IF CONSCIOUS, give emetic (1 tablespoon salt to a glass of warm water). Repeat until vomit fluid is clear. Call
physician.
SKIN: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Call physician.
EYE: Flush eyes with water for 15 minutes or longer. Call physician.

VIII SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Respiratory Protection: Optional (NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator). Ventilation: Use local exhaust.
Protective gloves: Rubber. Eye Protection: Safety glasses or goggles.
Other protective equipment: Rubber apron (optional).
IX SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Handling and Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place away from strong acids and food products. Temperature: 55-85 oF.
Work Practices: Wash thoroughly before eating and smoking.
