Rinse mouth out with plenty of water.

water.

eye and moving the eyelids by occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids.

doctor, or for at least 15 minutes.

鈥? Removal of contact lenses after an eye injury should only be undertaken by

POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS
ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS
SWALLOWED
Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments.
The liquid is discomforting and moderately toxic if swallowed in large quantity.
Ingestion may result in sore throat, abdominal pain, with central nervous system
effects, headache, dizziness, drowsiness.
EYE
The liquid is extremely discomforting to the eyes and is capable of causing pain
and severe conjunctivitis. Corneal injury may develop, with possible permanent
impairment of vision, if not promptly and adequately treated.
Eye contact is extremely painful and may cause rapid corneal damage.
The vapour is discomforting to the eyes.
The material may produce severe irritation to the eye causing pronounced
inflammation. Repeated or prolonged exposure to irritants may produce
conjunctivitis.
SKIN
The material is moderately discomforting to the skin and may be absorbed by skin
if exposure is prolonged.
Skin contact may cause discomfort from repeated exposures over long periods.
Toxic effects may result from skin absorption.
Absorption by skin may readily exceed vapour inhalation exposure. Symptoms for
skin absorption are the same as for inhalation.
The material may accentuate any pre-existing dermatitis condition.

The vapour is discomforting to the upper respiratory tract.
Inhalation hazard is increased at higher temperatures.
Central nervous system (CNS) depression may include general discomfort, symptoms
of giddiness, headache, dizziness, nausea, anaesthetic effects, slowed reaction
time, slurred speech and may progress to unconsciousness. Serious poisonings may
result in respiratory depression and may be fatal.
CHRONIC HEALTH EFFECTS
Primary route of exposure is usually by skin contact and inhalation of vapour
from heated material. As with any chemical product, contact with unprotected
bare skin; inhalation of vapour, mist or dust in work place atmosphere; or
ingestion in any form, should be avoided by observing good occupational work
practice.
