Subacute to chronic toxicity:
Dimethylsulfoxide is readily absorbed through the skin and may
cause redness, burning, itching and scaling. Contact with the eyes
may cause corneal opacity. Nausea, vomiting, chills, cramps, and
lethargy may result from exposure. Chronic exposure may affect the
liver, kidneys and blood. An experimental tumorigen and teratogen.
