and flash back.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES
Conduct fire fighting and rescue operations from upwind of the fire area. Keep unnecessary people away. Isolate
hazard area and deny entry. Wear self-contained, positive pressure breathing apparatus and full fire fighting protective
clothing. Decontaminate emergency personnel when leaving fire area. Alert medical personnel to be ready to treat
pesticide poisoning. Anyone showing symptoms of poisoning must leave the emergency site immediately and receive
medical attention. Isolate area until gas, vapors or fumes have dispersed. Coveralls, gloves and boots should be worn
when decontaminating fire fighting equipment. Hot containers may explode, use water to keep containers cool.
Control runoff water- if water enters drainage system, advise the authorities downstream.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE
(1) ACUTE OVEREXPOSURE
Eye, nose, and throat irritation. Eye contact may cause corneal injury. Contact with the skin may produce irritation
or dermatitis.
(2) CHRONIC OVEREXPOSURE
Inactivation of the enzyme cholinesterase which results in the accumulation of acetycholine at synapses in the
nervous system, skeletal and smooth muscles, and secretory glands. Symptoms exhibited may include weakness,
involuntary twitching, giddiness, confusion, ataxia, slurred speech, and eventually paralysis. May have reproductive
effects.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE
Disorders of the nervous system, skin disorders, or dermatitis. May affect the unborn fetus.
